Some attacks in PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale temporarily give the player Super Armor. It is commonly found in slow or charged attacks. Super Armored players are able to absorb attack(s) without showing reaction until the amount of damage inflicted on the player reaches a certain AP value. When an armored player absorbs damage they will briefly flash red while they continue their attack and the opponent(s) inflicting damage will receive no AP. Once the AP damage inflicted on the armored player reaches or goes above the set value, they will show hit reaction and the opponent(s) will receive AP. If the attack that gave the player Super Armor ends and the player still has Super Armor remaining, the player will lose all remaining Super Armor.
